LIID EVENT 2
Leadership integrity influence and dominion Series (LIID) which is one of the flagship programs of Fant Global Initiatives was organized on July 1st 2022 at the Conference room of the College of Health and well-being, Kintampo. The programme is organized annually with support from an annual committee that is formed to support in the organization of the programme. The programme is aimed towards the training of young leaders through experience of highly influential and God-fearing personalities that will make a difference in their communities.
LIID programme was a dream in some 5 years ago but came into being in the year 2020 where its maiden edition was organized. In 2022 the founder together with the committee drafted the plan to extend the programme from the department to the entire students populace.
In order to make the programme friendlier and more known to the students, the committee decided to select speakers from the college with only one guest speaker from the University Of Ghana School Of Plant Science. The speakers were Dr Samuel Aduse Poku, Dr Angela-Ruth Buabeng and Mr Isaac Yeboah. They discussed their lives with the young people and shared with them how they were able to make a difference in their little lives. Dr. Aduse Poku, shared his challenging story of how he won a scholarship from his Senior High School days, and became the valedictorian during his graduation and further had a scholarship to study in Turkey for his Masters then finally had another scholarship upon his return to study for his PHD in Japan. He challenged the audience that, with his perspective of leadership, he believes that, it is about making or doing well whatever your hands find. He challenged the group that the country lacks men who are honest and are guided with clear conscience and there is the need for participants to make it a point to build that life of honesty with conscience. He challenged the participants that effective time management is key in getting to the top and making any significant difference. He shared with the participants on the need for the use of information technology and to take advantage of that as we are in a global village.
