What Happened

The World Oral Health Day 2022, March 20th fell on a Sunday, the Dental Advocacy Team with the aim of giving people “perfect smiles”, together with students and staff of the OHTSC embarked on a School-based Oral Health Program (SOHEP) to Hill City Montessori in Kintampo on the 18th of March 2022.Oral Health problems, does not only have and association with general health but it can also have a severe impact on people’s mental, social, emotional, and the entire physical well-being; so the year’s theme was Be Proud of their Mouth for their happiness and well-being. Students were taken through health education, on the most common oral diseases. Students were also taken through various demonstrations of tooth brushing techniques. Tooth brushes and toothpaste from Uniliver were distributed to the students.
