The guiding principles that has served as the compass for his life is love and compassion. Stemming from the principles as espoused from the scriptures that do unto others what you want others to do unto you and love your neighbor as yourself.
Dr. Samuel Aduse Poku is a Lecturer in the Department of Plant and Environmental Biology, University of Ghana. He had his undergraduate education in Agricultural technology at the University for Development Studies (UDS). Dr. Aduse Poku obtained his Msc. degree (Agricultural Biotechnology, Plant biotechnology option) from Ondokuz Mayis University (OMU), Turkey in 2016 and a PhD (Environmental Horticulture) from Chiba University, Japan in 2021. Dr. Aduse Poku is a member of the Japanese Society of Breeding and the Japanese Society of Plant Biotechnology.
Dr Aduse Poku appreciates what it means to be marginalized and not given the necessary access to basic amenities juxtaposing it from his humble background. He sees access to health as core in building communities. He appreciates the reality that training and influencing young minds to make a difference in their communities is a responsibility which he never shirks when the opportunity presents itself. He believes that, neither tribe nor geographical location should make life difficult for others to live.
